In response to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, the Telangana government has established a 24×7 control room at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist its residents caught up in the crisis across the Middle East. The move is aimed at offering round‑the‑clock support and information to Telugu citizens stranded or affected in the region.
The control room will function as a central coordination point between state officials and central authorities, including Indian embassy channels, to monitor evolving developments and provide real‑time support. With tensions rising and flight operations disrupted, authorities say the facility will help families communicate, receive updates, and access emergency assistance if required.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged Telugu people residing in Iran and Gulf countries to stay alert and adhere strictly to advisories issued by Indian diplomatic missions. He reiterated that the state government is in continuous touch with the Ministry of External Affairs and will work with the central government to facilitate safe returns if necessary.

The control room’s establishment comes amid broader disruptions that have affected Indian travellers: more than 50 flights were cancelled at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport due to regional airspace restrictions linked to hostilities, primarily impacting flights to and from Gulf destinations. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has activated a separate Passenger Assistance Control Room to address complaints and guide those facing travel interruptions.
Officials continue to underscore the importance of safety and caution for Indians in conflict‑affected countries. The Ministry of External Affairs and Indian embassies in Israel, Iran, and neighbouring states have reiterated advisories urging nationals to stay vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, follow local safety guidelines, and make use of emergency helplines established for the crisis.
The Telangana initiative reflects a wider push by Indian states and central authorities to protect citizens abroad as geopolitical tensions in West Asia have intensified. With diplomatic efforts, helpline support, and coordination channels in place, governments have pledged ongoing monitoring and assistance until the situation stabilises.
