In a tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, a 50-year-old head constable was found dead by suicide on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The officer, recently promoted from constable to head constable approximately one-and-a-half months ago, was discovered hanging from an exhaust fan in a police residence within the Rupwas police station campus, according to Circle Officer Neeraj Sharma.
The deceased, a resident of Daulatpur village, had been transferred to another police station in the district prior to the incident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical staff declared him dead on arrival. Bharatpur Superintendent of Police Digant Anand confirmed the officer’s recent promotion and stated that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suicide has been initiated.
Authorities have indicated that the body will be handed over to the family following a postmortem examination. The police are committed to thoroughly investigating the case to understand the factors that may have contributed to this devastating event.
