Several parts of Delhi witnessed spells of rainfall on Saturday, offering respite from the heat but also leading to waterlogging complaints in different localities.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy showers with thunder and lightning on Sunday as well, cautioning residents of possible disruptions.
On Saturday afternoon, showers were reported across north, central, south, and southeast Delhi. By evening, the IMD predicted rain with gusty winds in areas including Civil Lines, Red Fort, Lajpat Nagar, Narela, Bawana, Alipur, and ITO.

Officials from the Public Works Department said their flood control room received at least 10 complaints of waterlogging, most of which were cleared within an hour.
The weather also brought some relief from heat: Delhi’s maximum temperature settled at 34.5°C, slightly below the seasonal average, while the minimum was 25.7°C. Humidity levels were recorded at 76% at 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the city’s air quality remained in the “satisfactory” category with an AQI of 93, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Meteorologists said the wet spell is likely to continue, keeping both temperatures and pollution levels in check.
