India’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is set to relocate to a newly constructed complex named ‘Seva Teerth,’ as part of the ambitious Central Vista redevelopment project. This move aims to consolidate various key government offices under a single roof, improving coordination and efficiency at the highest levels of governance. The new facility, designed with modern infrastructure, will replace the PMO’s current 78-year-old location in South Block, New Delhi.
‘Seva Teerth’ is the first of three buildings within Executive Enclave-I, situated adjacent to Vayu Bhawan. It will serve as a state-of-the-art hub for the Prime Minister and his team, reflecting the government’s push to modernize administrative functions while preserving the heritage of the Central Vista precinct. The relocation underscores an effort to create a streamlined workspace suited to contemporary needs.
The Central Vista redevelopment project, initiated to revamp New Delhi’s central administrative area, includes several new government buildings and public spaces designed to enhance operational efficiency and urban aesthetics. The ‘Seva Teerth’ complex represents a significant milestone in this larger vision, aligning with the government’s focus on transforming India’s administrative infrastructure.
