Jammu and Kashmir police conducted sweeping searches at 15 locations in Doda district, targeting the residences of Pakistan-based terrorists as part of a robust operation to dismantle the region’s terror ecosystem. The raids, which began on Thursday evening, focus on individuals operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, orchestrating terrorist activities in the district from across the border.
A senior police officer, speaking to PTI, confirmed that the searches aim to disrupt cross-border terrorism networks actively destabilizing the region. “These operations are critical to intensifying our crackdown on terrorism in Doda,” the officer stated. Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, Sandeep Mehta, is overseeing the operation, with further details expected upon its conclusion.
The targeted raids reflect heightened efforts by authorities to curb terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in response to recent cross-border provocations. This operation underscores the police’s commitment to neutralizing threats and ensuring security in the region amidst ongoing challenges posed by external terror networks.
