Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended birthday greetings to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, praising her efforts towards the development of the national capital and improving the quality of life for its residents. In a message shared on social media platform X, Modi highlighted Gupta’s work in promoting Delhi’s progress and strengthening “Ease of Living” initiatives for citizens.
The Prime Minister wrote that Gupta’s efforts to boost Delhi’s development were commendable and wished her good health and a long life. His message was among several greetings from senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who congratulated the Delhi Chief Minister and praised her leadership. The leaders highlighted her commitment towards public service and the city’s growth.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his wishes, describing Gupta as a leader working with dedication for the welfare and development of Delhi’s citizens. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings as well, wishing Gupta good health, longevity, and success in her role. Several other BJP leaders also shared messages recognising her contribution to the administration of the capital.

Delhi ministers Parvesh Verma and Kapil Mishra also praised Gupta’s leadership while extending birthday wishes. Verma said her leadership was helping advance the vision of a developed, clean, safe, and prosperous Delhi, while Mishra expressed hope that the city would continue progressing under her guidance. Both leaders highlighted Gupta’s focus on public service and development-oriented governance.
Rekha Gupta is currently serving as the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi, marking a significant political milestone after the BJP returned to power in the national capital following nearly three decades. Her appointment has drawn attention as the party seeks to implement its development agenda and address key issues related to infrastructure, public services, and the quality of life for Delhi residents.
