A horrific incident unfolded at a bakery in Dubai, where two workers from Telangana, Ashtapu Prem Sagar (40) from Nirmal district and Srinivas from Nizamabad district, were brutally murdered by a Pakistani co-worker.
The attack, which also left two other Telugu workers injured, has sent shockwaves through the Indian diaspora and raised serious concerns about workplace safety and underlying tensions in the emirate.
According to reports, the assailant, whose identity remains undisclosed, stabbed the victims in a sudden outburst. Preliminary investigations point to workplace stress as a possible trigger, with some sources suggesting religious differences may have played a role.

Witnesses claim the attacker shouted religious slogans during the assault, though Dubai authorities have not officially confirmed this detail. The injured workers are receiving medical treatment, and their conditions are stable, but the loss of Sagar and Srinivas has left their families and communities devastated.
The bakery management has faced criticism for allegedly attempting to downplay the incident, raising questions about transparency and accountability. Indian expatriates in the UAE have expressed outrage, demanding justice and better protections for migrant workers, who form a significant portion of the country’s workforce.
The Indian Consulate is reportedly in touch with local authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and support for the victims’ families.
