Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to lay the foundation stone for the party’s state-level office in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday. This marks his first visit to the state following the party’s historic victory in Bihar. The proposed office is expected to serve as a key organisational hub for the BJP in the state.
State BJP chief Rajeev Bindal expressed immense excitement over Nadda’s visit, highlighting the enthusiasm among party workers and the public. “The arrival of such a popular and hardworking leader is a matter of pride and joy for all of us,” Bindal said, emphasizing the symbolic importance of the visit for Himachal BJP.
A grand felicitation ceremony is planned at the historical Peterhof complex in Shimla, where thousands of party workers and local residents are expected to gather. The event will include a warm public reception, reinforcing the party’s connection with its grassroots supporters.

During the visit, Nadda will perform the ‘bhoomi pujan’ (groundbreaking ceremony) and formally initiate the construction of the state office. The visit is seen as a strategic boost for the party ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Bindal noted that Nadda’s presence will energize workers and send a strong message to the electorate about the party’s commitment and leadership in the state.
Bindal also urged the public to attend the ceremony in large numbers to witness the historic event.
