In a major headline-grabbing move, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has fulfilled a bold pre-election promise by announcing a ₹1 crore cash incentive for singer Rahul Sipliganj, who rose to global fame for his electrifying performance in the Oscar-winning song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR.
The announcement came on Sunday, during the celebrations of the Bonalu festival in Hyderabad — a symbolic gesture that added cultural resonance to the grand reward.
CM Reddy praised Sipliganj as a beacon of inspiration for Telangana’s youth, highlighting his journey from the bylanes of Hyderabad’s old city to the international music stage.

Back in 2023, when Reddy was the state Congress president, he had promised ₹10 lakh in financial aid to Sipliganj and vowed a ₹1 crore incentive if the party came to power. On Sunday, he kept his word.
“Rahul’s journey proves that no dream is too big. His success is not just his own — it belongs to every young dreamer in Telangana,” said Reddy in the official release.
Fans across the state are hailing the move as a proud moment, celebrating not just a musical icon, but also a fulfilled political promise — a rare duet of culture and accountability.
