Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat declared on Monday that the world now listens with rapt attention whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks, because India’s long-suppressed strength is finally manifesting on the global stage and the country is reclaiming its historically ordained position as the harbinger of peace and solutions to humanity’s crises.
Addressing a packed audience in Pune during the centenary celebrations of the RSS, founded in 1925 by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Bhagwat asserted that history repeatedly proves when Bharat rises, global conflicts subside and universal harmony prevails. He described the present turbulent international order as a direct call to India to fulfil this civilisational responsibility, adding that the unprecedented global respect commanded by Prime Minister Modi is visible proof that this resurgence has already begun.
The RSS sarsanghchalak urged volunteers not to treat the 100-year milestone as a moment for mere celebration but as a solemn occasion for introspection on why the task of uniting the entire Hindu society and awakening its inherent strength has taken a century. He paid glowing tributes to the early swayamsevaks who sowed the seeds of national regeneration amid extreme adversity and hostility, often with no certainty of success, yet remained steadfast in their lifelong mission.

Bhagwat recounted a personal anecdote in which someone remarked that the Sangh had “arrived thirty years late,” to which he replied that the organisation was never late; rather, society had only now begun to listen. He emphasised that when the RSS speaks of dialogue, collective effort and national unity, it addresses the whole of Bharat, rooted in the timeless principle of “unity in diversity” anchored in Dharma.
Stressing that all Indian philosophies emerge from one eternal source and everything in existence is interconnected, the RSS chief called upon the nation to march together in harmony under the saffron flag, declaring that the current global situation demands nothing less than India’s complete rise; a rise that has already started making the world sit up and take notice.
