Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) volunteer Mohammad Junaid has denied rumours of a rift with the organisation's leadership, saying that the party continues to support him and urging supporters not to believe what he described as "fake rumours". Junaid, who emerged as a prominent face during the party-led protest at Jantar Mantar, issued a video statement on Monday to clarify his position amid speculation over differences with the Abhijeet Dipke-led outfit. In the video, Junaid appealed to supporters to avoid spreading misinformation and said the CJP leadership remained with him.

His clarification came after several posts circulated on social media suggesting tensions between him and the party following the conclusion of the protest. The CJP also released a statement backing Junaid, saying that he was receiving all necessary legal assistance from the organisation. Party spokesperson and legal point of contact Ratna Singh said that Junaid had also briefly attended a gathering of volunteers after the protest ended. She urged people to stop spreading misinformation and said that any concerns related to Junaid had been addressed promptly.

Junaid, a resident of Ghaziabad, had gained attention during the protest for providing free food and drinking water to demonstrators in Delhi. He had earlier alleged that police detained his family members in Ghaziabad and harassed relatives in Meerut because of his involvement in the agitation. Following the protest, speculation grew on social media about a possible disagreement between Junaid and the party leadership. Some posts claimed that he was excluded from a gathering organised after the protest over the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Others alleged that CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke was not responding to Junaid's calls. However, Junaid's latest statement sought to put an end to those claims, with the volunteer reiterating his association with the party and expressing confidence in the leadership. The CJP also maintained that it stood by Junaid and would continue to provide support. The controversy emerged after the CJP-led protest campaign, which focused on alleged irregularities and paper leaks affecting competitive examinations.

The demonstration drew attention over concerns related to the credibility of India's examination system and the demand for stronger safeguards against such incidents. As the party continues its activities following the protest, both Junaid and the CJP leadership have attempted to address speculation and present a united front. The clarification comes as the organisation faces increased public attention following its recent agitation and the involvement of several volunteers who played key roles during the demonstrations.
