An unprecedented security fortress involving more than 4,500 police personnel has been erected around the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 venue in Meerpet, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, as the state prepares to host hundreds of international industrialists, policymakers and dignitaries on December 8 and 9. The two-day event, expected to witness the signing of several high-value Memoranda of Understanding, has prompted authorities to implement one of the most elaborate protection arrangements ever seen in the region.
The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has divided the entire operational zone into 18 sectors encompassing the main venue, luxury hotels, approach roads and peripheral areas. A meticulously designed three-tier security ring has been established: the outer perimeter is controlled by Law & Order and Traffic police for crowd and vehicular management, the middle ring is guarded by armed units, while the innermost circle remains under the direct supervision of Special Branch, Intelligence wings and specially constituted VVIP security teams.
Every delegate, particularly VVIP industrialists and senior officials, will be provided with dedicated escorts, Personal Security Officers and liaison officers of DSP and Inspector rank. A 25-kilometre approach corridor to the venue is under constant watch through six permanent checkpoints commanded by a Deputy Commissioner of Police, while seven additional southern and eastern entry points operate round-the-clock to prevent unauthorised access. Even helicopter arrivals are covered, with a fully secured helipad located 2.5 kilometres from the venue and its access route protected by armed personnel.

Cutting-edge technology forms the backbone of the operation. A 24/7 Command Control Centre, supervised by three Assistant Commissioners of Police and fifty officers, receives live feeds from 115 night-vision and PTZ cameras strategically placed across routes, parking areas and the summit complex. Ten drone surveillance teams maintain aerial oversight, relaying real-time imagery to the control room, while advanced tracking systems monitor the movement of all delegates from their hotels to the venue.
The summit itself will feature addresses by the Chief Minister in a 2,000-seat main hall, alongside departmental meetings, gala dinners, cultural performances and a grand drone show. Elite commando units including three platoons each of Octopus and Greyhounds stand ready for rapid response, while a designated safe house and a fully equipped hospital with 100 beds have been kept on standby. With every wing of the police and district administration functioning in complete coordination, Telangana authorities have left no stone unturned to ensure the prestigious global event concludes without incident.
