Political parties in Uttar Pradesh have received clarity over the timeline of the 2027 Assembly elections after Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar indicated that the polls would be conducted as scheduled. During a recent interaction with the media in New Delhi, CEC Gyanesh Kumar said the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections would be held on time in accordance with constitutional provisions.

He also stated that if required, the census exercise scheduled for February 2027 could be extended to ensure that the electoral process is not affected. Hasan, who previously represented Moradabad in Parliament, commented on claims made by a Muslim cleric from Etawah about Lord Krishna and later said that some Muslim scholars believe figures such as Lord Ram and Lord Krishna could have been among Islam's prophets. Hasan said that many things have changed over time but described Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as great personalities.
