Union Minister Jitendra Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revolutionizing India’s defense sector through advanced technology, spotlighting Operation Sindoor as a landmark success. Speaking at a Tiranga rally in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, Singh highlighted how the operation showcased India’s technological prowess in countering threats, particularly following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Singh emphasized that Operation Sindoor, a strategic military response, leveraged cutting-edge indigenous technology developed over the past decade under Modi’s leadership. “The achievements of Operation Sindoor are a direct result of the technology adopted in the last 10 years,” he said, crediting Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India. This technological edge, he noted, was instrumental in the operation’s success, marking a new era of defense capabilities for the nation.
Reflecting on India’s transformation, Singh contrasted the present with the past, recalling Modi’s daring 1991 Ekta Yatra, when he risked his life to hoist the national flag at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk amid terror threats. “Today, every hand in the valley holds the tricolor,” Singh said, underscoring the region’s newfound peace and unity, bolstered by initiatives like the nationwide Tiranga rallies. These rallies, now in their fourth year, have created a festive atmosphere across India ahead of Independence Day, with similar events held in Srinagar, signaling normalcy in the region.

Singh attributed the widespread adoption of these rallies to Modi’s vision, noting their role in fostering national pride and unity. He also sidestepped questions about Pakistan’s repeated threats, deferring to the Ministry of External Affairs for comment, keeping the focus on India’s technological and strategic advancements.
Operation Sindoor’s success, driven by homegrown systems like the Akash missile, Pinaka rocket launchers, and AI-powered drones, has not only strengthened India’s defense but also boosted global demand for its indigenous weaponry. The minister’s remarks underscore India’s growing self-reliance in defense, positioning it as a formidable player in modern warfare and a beacon of technological innovation.
