The Noida Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the inauguration of the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. The advisory, aimed at ensuring smooth movement and security during the high-profile event, will remain in force from 7 am to 11 pm, with special provisions in place for emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire services.
According to officials, movement of heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles will be restricted on key routes, including the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway, along with adjoining roads. These measures are intended to manage traffic congestion and facilitate the seamless movement of VIP convoys and event-related vehicles. Emergency services, however, will be allowed to operate without restrictions.
Authorities have also outlined specific diversion routes for commuters travelling from different regions. Vehicles coming from Meerut and Ghaziabad will be redirected via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, exiting at Sirsa Toll before proceeding through designated roundabouts. Similarly, traffic from Mathura and Aligarh using the Yamuna Expressway will exit at Jewar Cut and access the venue through Sabauta Underpass and Kishorpur Gate.

For commuters travelling from Hapur, Bulandshahr, and nearby areas, diversions have been planned along the Jewar-Khurja road, with entry through Parohi Gate. The advisory also provides detailed instructions for local traffic from Noida and Greater Noida, which will be routed through service roads and specified roundabouts before entering via a temporary gate near the Ranehra Police Post.
Separate arrangements have been made for different categories of attendees. VIPs and dignitaries will use a dedicated interchange on the Yamuna Expressway, while media personnel, administrative staff, and government officials will access the venue through Kishorpur Gate. Official buses will be routed via Dayanantpur, and designated parking zones have been created to manage the large influx of vehicles.
The traffic police have urged residents and commuters to follow the advisory strictly and avoid unnecessary travel near the venue during the restricted hours. With large crowds and heightened security expected for the inauguration event, authorities emphasised that adherence to designated routes and cooperation from the public will be crucial to ensuring smooth traffic management throughout the day.
