46-year-old Vinay Kumar Singh, identified as the state president of the Kshatriya Karni Sena, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Jamshedpur’s Baliguma area late last night. The incident, which occurred near the Mini Punjab Dhaba on National Highway-33 under the MGM Police Station’s jurisdiction, has sent shockwaves through the local Kshatriya community and sparked outrage among Karni Sena members.
According to police reports, Singh was returning home with associates when motorcycle-borne hitmen opened fire, killing him instantly. The attackers fled the scene, prompting authorities to launch an intensive manhunt.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear, though police are exploring possibilities such as personal enmity, organizational disputes, or targeted assassination. Security has been tightened in the area to prevent potential unrest, with additional patrols deployed.

The murder immediately triggered huge protests from Karni Sena supporters, who came and blocked the National Highway-33, demanding swift justice. Karni Sena members and sympathizers expressed grief and called for the culprits’ immediate arrest, with many alleging a conspiracy. The police have assured a thorough investigation, collecting forensic evidence and reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity.
Vinay Kumar Singh, a resident of Sahara City in Mango, was a prominent figure in the Kshatriya Karni Sena, an organization known for advocating Kshatriya community interests.
