Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing justice, jobs, and dignity to families affected by terrorism. Speaking at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar, he handed out government job appointment letters to family members of terror victims, underscoring the region’s focus on rehabilitation.
Sinha highlighted that the initiative to provide jobs to terror victims’ families began 13 months ago after he met affected families from the Kashmir division. “Their stories moved me deeply. We decided to identify genuine cases for rehabilitation and provide them with government employment,” he said, noting that 39 families from Kashmir and 41 families from Jammu have already received job letters, with nine families affected by the recent Nowgam blast receiving letters recently.
The LG added that over 200 family members have been provided government jobs this year alone. He recounted heart-wrenching stories of children growing up without parents and families struggling in silence, stressing that the administration is committed to ensuring no deserving family is left behind.

Sinha also announced plans to return properties that were seized from victims during the years of terrorism and stated that even cases without FIRs would be examined to ensure justice is delivered. “We will not allow the real victims of terrorism to be forgotten while sympathisers of terrorism enjoy privileges,” he said.
He further emphasised that the administration has taken strict action against government employees with links to terrorism over the past five years and will continue cleansing institutions of any influence from the terror ecosystem. “Each individual aiding terrorism or spreading false narratives will be identified and punished,” he warned.
Reiterating the government’s resolve, the LG said the administration is determined to make Jammu and Kashmir completely free from terrorism and its supporting ecosystem. “Anyone supporting terrorism in any form will face strict action. This is our collective duty to protect peace and ensure that no family suffers again,” Sinha concluded.
