The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has intensified its criticism of the Andhra Pradesh government over alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment examination, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh and a court-monitored CBI investigation into the recruitment process. The party has also linked its demand to the recent resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET controversy.

YSRCP leaders, including former Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh and the party's Students' Wing Working President Ravichandra, alleged that the recruitment process lacked transparency and compromised the integrity of the examination. They claimed that nearly 3.5 lakh teacher recruitment aspirants had been affected and questioned why the same agency and officials were responsible for both preparing question papers and conducting the examination.

The party also raised concerns over the alleged involvement of outsourced personnel in handling confidential examination material and claimed that individuals associated with the recruitment process secured top ranks. According to YSRCP leaders, documents, digital evidence and videos supporting their allegations have been submitted to the Governor, while several petitions related to the recruitment exercise are currently pending before the courts.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy drew a comparison with the NEET paper leak controversy, arguing that political accountability should be applied uniformly. He questioned whether Nara Lokesh would accept moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC examination and resign, or whether Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would continue to back him. Jagan also said that a representation outlining the allegations had been submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking intervention and a comprehensive investigation.

The YSRCP has announced statewide protest rallies outside District Collectorates on July 28. The demonstrations will demand a CBI probe into the alleged DSC recruitment irregularities, the resignation of Nara Lokesh, the release of pending fee reimbursement dues and payment of unemployment allowances to eligible beneficiaries.

The Andhra Pradesh government has rejected the allegations. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has defended the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process, stating that it was conducted transparently and in accordance with Government of India guidelines. As of now, the allegations made by the YSRCP remain contested, and no official findings have established wrongdoing in the recruitment process.
