India secured a strong position in the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe in Harare after young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced a match-defining innings and pacer Mayank Yadav made an immediate impact with the ball. India posted a challenging total of 192 for five after being asked to bat first, with Sooryavanshi leading the charge with a stunning 81-run knock. Sooryavanshi continued to impress on the international stage, scoring 81 runs off just 49 balls to provide India with a solid foundation.
The young batter displayed aggressive stroke play throughout his innings, smashing eight boundaries and four sixes to keep the scoreboard moving. His attacking approach helped India recover from early pressure and put up a competitive total. Alongside Sooryavanshi, several Indian batters contributed valuable runs. Ishan Kishan scored 29 runs, while captain Shreyas Iyer added 27 to strengthen the innings. Rinku Singh also played an important cameo, scoring 25 runs to help India accelerate during the final stages of the innings.
Zimbabwe's bowlers managed to pick up regular wickets but struggled to contain India's scoring rate. Brad Evans was the most successful bowler for the hosts, finishing with figures of two wickets for 41 runs. Blessing Muzarabani, Sikandar Raza and Wessly Madhevere picked up one wicket each, but India maintained control throughout the innings. Chasing a target of 193 runs, Zimbabwe suffered an early setback as Mayank Yadav struck on the very first delivery of the innings.

The fast bowler provided India with the perfect start by removing a Zimbabwe batter immediately, putting pressure on the hosts during the opening phase of the chase. Mayank Yadav's first-ball breakthrough also saw him equal a record previously held by senior Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The achievement added another milestone to the young fast bowler's growing international career and highlighted his ability to make an impact with the new ball.
The third T20I was the final match of the three-game series, with India already holding an unassailable 2-0 lead after dominant victories in the opening two matches.
