An IndiGo flight bound for Hyderabad from Tirupati faced a dramatic ordeal on Sunday when a suspected technical glitch forced the aircraft to circle in the air for approximately 40 minutes before safely returning to Tirupati Airport.
According to Flightradar24, the Airbus A321neo, operating as flight 6E 6591, took off from Tirupati at 7:42 PM and reached Venkatagiri town before making a U-turn. The flight path showed the plane circling for about 40 minutes before landing back at Tirupati by 8:34 PM. IndiGo’s schedule lists the flight departing Tirupati at 7:20 PM and arriving in Hyderabad by 8:30 PM.
The flight, reportedly the last scheduled service to Hyderabad that day, was cancelled following the incident. Social media footage captured frustrated passengers confronting airline staff over rescheduling arrangements. IndiGo has yet to issue an official statement regarding the technical issue or the cancellation.
