Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has greenlit a groundbreaking 'Action Plan for Implementation of Artificial Intelligence 2025-2030,' poised to revolutionize governance and welfare in the state. Announced Sunday, the plan leverages AI to drive smart decision-making, streamline citizen-focused schemes, and enhance service delivery, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning India as a global AI leader.
Unveiled following the recommendations of a 10-member AI taskforce formed after the November 2024 'Chintan Shivir,' the plan targets transformative growth in governance, healthcare, education, agriculture, and fintech. “Gujarat will lead in technology-driven progress, embedding AI across all sectors to achieve Viksit Gujarat@2047,” Patel declared, emphasizing the state’s commitment to socio-economic advancement.
A dedicated 'AI and Deep Tech Mission' will spearhead the plan’s time-bound execution, fostering collaboration among startups, academia, and industries. This mission will focus on skilling and upskilling the workforce in AI technologies, ensuring a robust ecosystem for innovation and seamless service delivery. The initiative promises to elevate quality of life and prosperity by integrating cutting-edge AI solutions into everyday governance.
