Activist Gitanjali J. Angmo, wife of education reform advocate Sonam Wangchuk, has welcomed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, praising India's younger generation for what she described as demonstrating "courage without violence" during weeks of student-led protests. Her remarks came shortly after Pradhan announced that he had submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation followed nearly a month of sustained demonstrations by students, many of whom had demanded accountability over the ongoing education-related controversy and called for his resignation. The protests, organised across multiple locations, remained focused on pressing the government to address students' concerns and undertake reforms.

Reacting to the development, Angmo said the country's Gen Z had shown what it truly means for India to be a "Vishwaguru". In her statement, she praised the younger generation for displaying values of courage, restraint and patriotism while avoiding violence. She said the students had demonstrated "courage without hate, strength without violence and patriotism without blind obedience."

Angmo also remarked that the youth had embodied the principles of Sanatan Dharma through their actions rather than simply speaking about them.
