Dhar Collector Rajeev Ranjan Meena on Friday said the district administration would carefully study the Supreme Court’s order in the Bhojshala case before taking any action, adding that all necessary steps would be taken to ensure peace, law and order in the district while implementing the court’s directions. Speaking to ANI, Meena said the administration had noted that the Supreme Court uploaded its order on Friday and would first obtain an official copy before examining its contents. He stressed that any administrative action would be based on the directions issued by the apex court.
“The Supreme Court has uploaded its order on its website today. We will obtain a copy of the order and study it. After examining the directions issued by the Court, necessary steps will be taken to implement them,” the collector said. Responding to questions on security arrangements, Meena said the administration would assess all aspects of the Supreme Court’s directions before finalising its preparations. He assured that adequate measures would be put in place to maintain public order and prevent any disturbance in the district.
“All aspects of the Supreme Court’s directions will be considered. Whatever preparations are required from the administration to maintain peace and law and order will be made to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in Dhar,” he said. The Bhojshala complex in Dhar has long been the subject of legal and religious disputes involving Hindu and Muslim communities. The site is regarded by Hindus as a temple dedicated to Goddess Vagdevi (Saraswati), while Muslims consider it the Kamal Maula Mosque. The dispute has led to multiple rounds of litigation over worship rights and the management of the premises.

The Supreme Court’s latest order comes amid continued legal proceedings related to the disputed site. The administration has indicated that it will act only after thoroughly reviewing the court’s observations and directions, ensuring that implementation is carried out in accordance with the law. Authorities have also emphasised the importance of maintaining communal harmony during the process. District officials are expected to coordinate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that any measures taken following the court’s order do not affect public peace.
The administration has not yet announced any specific changes or fresh arrangements, stating that decisions will be taken only after a detailed examination of the Supreme Court’s ruling. Officials are expected to issue further directions once the order has been reviewed. With the Bhojshala matter remaining a sensitive issue, the district administration has reiterated its commitment to implementing the Supreme Court’s directions while ensuring peace, security and harmony in Dhar.
