The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the official timetable for the Chartered Accountancy examinations scheduled for May 2026. The schedule covers CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses, with exams spread across the first three weeks of the month to accommodate all papers.

CA Final examinations will be held on May 2, 4, and 6 for Group 1 and May 8, 10, and 12 for Group 2. CA Intermediate papers are set for May 3, 5, and 7 (Group 1) and May 9, 11, and 13 (Group 2). The CA Foundation course will conclude the cycle with Foundation exams on May 14, 16, 18, and 20, 2026.

Most papers for Intermediate and Final courses will run from 2 pm to 5 pm (three hours), while Final Paper 6 (elective) is allotted four hours, ending at 6 pm. Foundation Papers 1 and 2 are three-hour exams, and Papers 3 and 4 are two-hour exams, with all starting at 2 pm. Candidates will receive 15 minutes of reading time from 1:45 pm for all papers except Foundation Papers 3 and 4.

Online registration and fee submission will open on March 3, 2026, and close on March 16, 2026. A late fee of ₹600 will apply until March 19, 2026, and a correction window will be available from March 20 to 22, 2026. Applications must be submitted through ICAI’s Self Service Portal at https://eservices.icai.org.

Students may opt for English or Hindi as the medium for answering papers. ICAI has clarified that the examinations will proceed only if a sufficient number of candidates register.

The announcement provides aspiring chartered accountants ample time to plan their preparation and revision, marking the first major CA exam cycle of 2026.
