A two-day workshop for BJP parliamentarians kicks off Sunday at the Parliament complex, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to join and be felicitated for the recent GST reforms, party sources revealed.
Originally scheduled without Modi's involvement, the "karyashala" may now feature the PM, who could receive accolades from MPs for introducing new GST slabs aimed at easing tax burdens and stimulating economic growth. The changes, which lower prices on various essentials, are anticipated to generate positive public sentiment, potentially benefiting the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections slated for November.
The workshop agenda includes sessions on the BJP's history, ideological evolution, and strategies to enhance parliamentary efficiency, designed to equip MPs with better tools for their roles.

Adding to the events, Modi will host a dinner for BJP and allied MPs on Monday, just before the vice presidential election. The contest pits NDA nominee C. P. Radhakrishnan, the Maharashtra Governor, against Opposition candidate B. Sudarshan Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge. With superior numbers, the NDA is poised for victory.
The gathering underscores the party's focus on unity and policy wins amid a busy political calendar, highlighting GST as a key achievement in economic reform.
