The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET) 2025 application window will close today, February 9, Andhra University announced. Eligible candidates who wish to appear for the examination must complete their registration through the official website, apset.net.in, before the deadline.
Applicants who miss the final date can still submit their forms by paying a late fee of ₹2,000, with the extended deadline set for February 25, 2026. Hall tickets for the examination will be released on March 19, 2026, according to the official schedule.
The AP SET 2025 examination will be conducted on March 28 and 29, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode only. The exam will be held at designated centres across the state, and no offline or pen-and-paper examinations will be allowed.

The test will consist of two papers. Paper I will assess candidates on teaching and research aptitude, while Paper II will be subject-specific, based on the discipline chosen by the candidate.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised university. Candidates are advised to carefully check eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.
The application fee is ₹1,600 plus convenience charges for general category candidates, ₹1,300 for BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, and EWS categories, and ₹900 for SC, ST, PwD, and transgender candidates. Payments can be made online using credit cards, debit cards, or net banking.
