Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu vowed to bolster the state’s weavers and handloom traditions, marking National Handloom Day with a heartfelt commitment to preserving cultural heritage. On Thursday, Naidu visited the Mangalagiri Handlooms Centre in Guntur district, where he explored vibrant stalls showcasing intricately woven sarees and fabrics, celebrating the artistry of local weavers.
“Greetings on National Handloom Day! Our skilled artisans weave our culture and heritage into vibrant tapestries, preserving it for generations,” Naidu shared in a post on X. “We take immense pride in our rich handloom tradition and pledge to support it in every possible way.” He emphasized that Andhra’s weavers are not only guardians of the past but also architects of the state’s future, safeguarding a vital part of its cultural identity.
The CM’s visit highlighted the government’s focus on empowering weavers through initiatives like skill development, market access, and financial support. Naidu interacted with artisans, praising their craftsmanship and assuring them of sustained efforts to promote handloom products globally.
