Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday emphasized that candidate nominations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be based solely on rigorous surveys, ensuring only winnable contenders receive tickets. Speaking to party leaders and workers from Bulandshahr and Hapur districts at the SP headquarters, Yadav urged cadres to stay grounded with voters, safeguard their interests, and remain vigilant against the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) alleged schemes to "steal votes" and undermine democracy.
"The party tickets will be given only after proper survey and only those who can win will be given the tickets," Yadav declared. "The BJP may also conspire to cut votes. Our workers must keep a close watch on such conspiracies." He stressed the importance of hard work in securing votes, protecting voters, and ensuring transparent polling and counting, adding, "Only then will democracy and the Constitution survive."
Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP regime, accusing it of rampant corruption, land grabbing, and turning Uttar Pradesh into a haven for the "land mafia." He claimed BJP leaders were encroaching on government plots, ponds, and land belonging to the poor, with every department steeped in graft. "This government has reached the peak of loot," he alleged, pointing to soaring inflation, unchecked extortion in police stations and tehsils, youth unemployment, lack of investment, and a deteriorating law-and-order situation that deters big industrialists.

The SP chief asserted that farmers, youth, women, and traders are suffering under BJP policies, fueling public discontent. "Ever since the BJP formed the government, inflation has risen continuously. There are no jobs for youth, no investment and no new industries," Yadav said. He predicted a strong anti-BJP wave, with people eager to restore SP to power in 2027. "People are tired and want to get rid of the BJP at the earliest."
Reaffirming his commitment to social justice, Yadav highlighted the BJP's alleged insults to PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) communities, vowing that an SP government would restore their honor and deliver justice. His remarks echo recent warnings to party workers about BJP's potential election rigging tactics, including voter list manipulations, as voiced in meetings earlier this month. With the 2027 polls on the horizon, Yadav's call to action aims to galvanize SP's base amid intensifying political rivalries in the state.
