A Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into a school building in Dhaka’s Uttara area on Monday, killing at least 16 people—most of them children—and injuring dozens more, officials confirmed.
The F-7 BGI aircraft struck the Milestone School and College campus shortly after takeoff at 1:06 pm, triggering a massive explosion and fire that devastated the site.
Emergency services including firefighters, ambulances, and air force helicopters rushed to the scene to battle the blaze and evacuate the injured. Hospitals in the area received dozens of wounded students and staff following the disaster.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash as the city reels from the tragic loss and devastation caused by the deadly accident.
