A 31-year-old Indian woman from Telangana has died in a road accident in Missouri in the United States after a truck collided with the car in which she was travelling. Daram Supriya, a native of Maripeda in Mahabubabad district, worked at a restaurant in the St. Louis area. She was returning home with a friend after finishing work when the crash occurred on Saturday night.
Supriya died at the scene of the accident, while her friend, who is also an Indian national, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Details about the circumstances of the collision and the investigation remain awaited from US authorities. Supriya's death has since caused shock and grief among her family members in Telangana.
Supriya had married Kodumuri Ranjith, a software professional, around five years ago. The couple have a two-and-a-half-year-old son, Adithya. Her family in India is now seeking assistance with the arrangements to bring her remains back to Telangana so that her last rites can be conducted.

Her father, Daram Srinivas, has appealed to the Telangana government to support the family in repatriating his daughter's remains. He said the family was devastated by the news and requested government assistance during the difficult period. Relatives in India are also awaiting further information from authorities in the United States regarding the accident and the repatriation process.
The family has also launched a GoFundMe campaign to support Supriya's young son, with funds intended to help meet his education, healthcare and other needs as he grows up. The appeal describes the child as being too young to understand the scale of the loss and says the family hopes to preserve his mother's memory while providing him with continued support.
Supriya's death has left her parents, husband and in-laws facing a sudden loss while arrangements are being worked out in the United States. The family's immediate priority is to bring her remains back to India for the final rites, while the support campaign seeks to provide financial assistance for her young son's future. Further details about the crash and the official arrangements are expected as authorities continue their work.
