The incidents targeted King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport, both in southern Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said emergency response teams and relevant authorities responded immediately under established emergency plans. The three injured people were taken to hospital for medical treatment. Authorities were also assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attacks.
The Houthis claimed responsibility on Monday for attacks targeting sites in southern Saudi Arabia, including military facilities and airports, according to the source report. The claim came as the incidents raised fresh security concerns around civilian and aviation infrastructure in the region.
