President Droupadi Murmu will begin a four-day official visit to Goa, Karnataka, and Jharkhand starting Saturday, officials confirmed. She is scheduled to leave for Goa on Saturday evening, marking the commencement of a packed itinerary combining strategic, cultural, and educational engagements.
On Sunday, the President will undertake a sea sortie aboard a submarine from Karwar Harbour in Karnataka, highlighting the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities. This visit underscores the government’s focus on maritime awareness and strategic outreach in coastal regions.
On December 29, President Murmu will participate in the centenary celebrations of Ol Chiki at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a milestone event for the Santali community. She will also address the 15th convocation ceremony of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, celebrating academic excellence and innovation.

The following day, December 30, the President will attend the Antarrajyiy Jansanskritik Samagam Samaroh – Kartik Jatra in Gumla, Jharkhand, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the state and promoting regional traditions on a national platform.
Earlier on Friday, President Murmu conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on 20 exceptional children from 18 states and union territories. She commended their achievements in fields such as arts, culture, sports, and innovation, extending her blessings to the young awardees and their families.
Addressing the significance of Veer Bal Diwas, observed annually on December 26, the President recalled the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s sons, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. She emphasized that their courage continues to inspire generations, reinforcing the values of bravery, faith, and selfless service among the youth.
