Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt wishes for peace, progress, and prosperity to Ukraine in a response to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Independence Day greetings on Saturday. Zelenskyy, in his message on Friday, expressed hope that India would contribute to ending the ongoing war with Russia.
Modi, posting on X, stated, “Thank you President Zelenskyy for your warm greetings. I deeply value the joint commitment to forging even closer ties between India and Ukraine. We earnestly wish our friends in Ukraine a future marked by peace, progress and prosperity.”
In a separate response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Independence Day message, Modi emphasized the flourishing India-Israel friendship. “May both countries further strengthen and deepen this relationship bringing peace, development as well as security to our people,” he said, highlighting the commitment to enhanced bilateral ties.
