Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 75th birthday with a fiery speech in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, declaring that Indian soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees “in the blink of an eye” through the decisive Operation Sindoor. Addressing a vibrant crowd, Modi highlighted the nation’s military strength and launched transformative initiatives to boost India’s economy and women’s welfare.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park, a game-changing project aimed at positioning India as a global textile hub. The initiative is expected to create thousands of jobs, empower local artisans, and strengthen the "Make in India" campaign. Mr. Modi urged citizens to embrace swadeshi products, especially during the festive season, emphasizing the importance of supporting Indian-made goods. “Every purchase should carry the sweat of an Indian worker and the fragrance of India’s soil,” he said, appealing to the nation’s 140 crore citizens to prioritize local products.
Mr. Modi also launched two significant campaigns: Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah. These initiatives focus on improving women’s health services and promoting nutrition across the country, aligning with the government’s vision of a healthier, stronger India. “Empowering women and ensuring their well-being is the foundation of a prosperous nation,” Modi remarked, underscoring the campaigns’ importance.

Reflecting on India’s military prowess, Mr. Modi recounted the success of Operation Sindoor, a response to terrorist activities from Pakistan. “Terrorists tried to tarnish the dignity of our daughters and sisters, but our brave soldiers destroyed their launch pads in a swift operation,” he said. The Prime Minister’s bold claim that Pakistan was humbled “in the blink of an eye” resonated with the crowd, reinforcing national pride in India’s armed forces.
Mr. Modi also drew historical parallels, noting that September 17 marks Hyderabad Liberation Day, commemorating the Indian Army’s liberation of Hyderabad from oppressive rule in 1948 under Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s leadership. “This day reminds us of our unity and resolve to protect India’s pride,” he said, highlighting ongoing celebrations in Hyderabad.
This wasn’t Mr. Modi’s first birthday visit to Madhya Pradesh. In 2022, he celebrated his special day by releasing eight cheetahs from Namibia into Kuno National Park, a milestone in wildlife conservation. This year, as the crowd showered him with birthday greetings, Modi expressed gratitude and reiterated his commitment to India’s progress.
The PM’s speech blended patriotism, economic ambition, and social welfare, painting a vision of a self-reliant and secure India. As the nation celebrates his 75th birthday, Mr. Modi’s call for swadeshi and his praise for the armed forces continue to inspire millions.
