Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Australia, which targeted people celebrating the first day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. In a statement, he expressed India’s solidarity with the victims and their families in this tragic hour.
“Strongly condemn the ghastly terrorist attack carried out today at Bondi Beach, Australia, targeting people celebrating the first day of Hanukkah,” PM Modi said. “On behalf of the people of India, I extend my sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. We stand in solidarity with the people of Australia in this hour of grief.”
The attack, which Australian authorities have officially classified as terrorism, involved two gunmen opening fire at the Jewish event, killing at least 12 people. The incident has sent shockwaves across the international community, raising concerns over global security and the threat of extremist violence.
