In a sweeping operation aimed at dismantling terror networks, the State Investigation Agency (SIA), backed by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), conducted simultaneous raids at 11 locations across Srinagar, Ganderbal, Handwara, Sopore, and Baramulla on Saturday.
The raids target terrorists, their over-ground workers (OGWs), and sympathizers as part of an ongoing probe into terror-related activities in the Kashmir Valley.
Sources revealed that the operation focuses on individuals suspected of sharing sensitive information about security forces and critical infrastructure with Pakistan-based handlers through encrypted platforms like Telegram, WhatsApp, and Signal. The raids, conducted in the presence of executive magistrates, are part of a broader effort to disrupt sleeper cells linked to cross-border terrorist outfits.

No arrests have been reported so far, with authorities stating that a detailed statement will follow the conclusion of the operation.
The SIA’s latest move comes on the heels of a similar large-scale operation on May 11, when 20 locations in Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Shopian were searched in connection with a terror conspiracy case.
Officials emphasized that these high-stakes operations are critical to uprooting terrorism and restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The SIA has a track record of tackling high-profile cases, including the 2020 murder of advocate Babar Qadri.
In that investigation, the agency arrested former bar association president Mian Qayoom and filed charges against him and others, including Shahid Shafi Mir, Zahid Farooq Khan, Mohammad Asif Bhat, Munir Aziz War, and Towseef Ahmad Shah.
As the operation continues, security forces are meticulously combing through the targeted locations for evidence and suspects, signaling a resolute push to dismantle terror networks in the region.
