US President Donald Trump delivered a sharp warning to Iran while addressing reporters aboard the presidential aircraft Air Force One, escalating tensions during the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Trump said he was not interested in negotiations with Tehran and suggested that the conflict could end only if Iran’s military capabilities and leadership structure were completely dismantled. His remarks came as military confrontations in the region intensified. The comments reflect Washington’s increasingly hardline stance amid the escalating crisis.
During his remarks, Trump raised the possibility that continued airstrikes could eliminate Iran’s leadership and military command structure. He said that if the campaign continued, there might eventually be no officials left to formally surrender. “At some point, I don’t think there will be anybody left maybe to say, 'We surrender,’” Trump told reporters. His comments highlighted the severity of the conflict and the uncertainty surrounding its potential outcome. The statement also underscored the growing risks of a prolonged regional confrontation.
The response from Iran was swift, with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejecting Trump’s demands for unconditional surrender. Pezeshkian described the idea as unrealistic and called it “a dream", insisting that Iran would not capitulate under pressure. At the same time, the Iranian leader attempted to ease tensions with neighbouring countries affected by the conflict. He publicly apologised to regional states that were impacted by Iranian strikes targeting US facilities.

The ongoing confrontation has seen Israel and Iran exchange multiple attacks as the conflict entered its second week. Military operations and retaliatory strikes have intensified across the region, raising concerns about a wider war in the Middle East. The United States has supported Israeli operations while also conducting its own actions targeting Iranian-linked facilities. Analysts warn that the situation could destabilise the broader Gulf region if hostilities continue.
Pezeshkian’s apology to neighbouring countries created debate within Iran itself. While the statement was seen by some as an attempt to reduce regional tensions, it drew criticism from hardline factions within the country. Critics argued that such remarks could signal weakness during a time of conflict. The internal reaction illustrates the political pressures facing the Iranian leadership as the crisis unfolds.
The confrontation has raised fears of further escalation involving multiple regional actors. Diplomatic channels remain strained as both sides exchange warnings and military responses. International observers continue to call for restraint to prevent a wider conflict in the Middle East. However, with tensions already high and military operations ongoing, the path toward de-escalation remains uncertain.
