Disgraced former Duke of York, Prince Andrew, appears in the final tranche of Jeffrey Epstein files released by the U.S. Justice Department on Friday, sparking fresh scrutiny over his past associations with the convicted sex offender.
The documents, made public as part of a transparency initiative, include photographs showing Andrew in compromising situations. In one image, the queen’s third child is seen crouching over a woman, whose face has been redacted for privacy, on a white-striped carpet. He is dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans and appears to be looking directly at the camera while hovering over the woman, raising concerns over the nature of the interaction.
These photos form part of a larger set of evidence and communications tied to Epstein, including emails, letters, and other media files, that provide new insights into his social network and the high-profile figures connected to him.

The Justice Department has made over three million pages of documents, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, publicly available over the course of this disclosure. The files also include mentions of other prominent figures, reflecting the broad reach of Epstein’s network.
While Andrew has denied wrongdoing in prior legal matters related to Epstein, these latest images are likely to reignite public debate and media attention, as authorities, victims’ advocates, and international observers scrutinise the newly released materials.
The release of these files is intended to ensure transparency in the ongoing legal and investigative processes tied to Epstein’s criminal enterprise, though questions remain about potential legal or reputational consequences for those featured in the documents.
