Two college students were arrested in Gurugram after an alleged road rage incident escalated into violence, leaving a motorist injured and his vehicle damaged. The incident took place on the stretch between Sohna Road and Rajiv Chowk, where a minor dispute over giving way reportedly turned into a physical confrontation. Police acted swiftly after videos related to the incident circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to the case.
The accused have been identified as 22-year-old BBA students Parth and Paras. According to police, the two were travelling in a Scorpio SUV when they became involved in an argument with the driver of an MG Windsor car. The disagreement allegedly intensified after the vehicles encountered each other on the road, resulting in a confrontation.
Investigators said the accused allegedly intercepted the victim's car and damaged it by smashing its windowpanes. The driver claimed that he was subsequently assaulted with sticks, suffering injuries during the attack. Photographs and videos recorded after the incident showed damage to the vehicle and the victim alleging that he had been beaten during the altercation.

The videos quickly gained traction on social media, prompting a rapid response from law enforcement authorities. Police traced the accused within hours of the footage becoming public and took both men into custody. Officials also seized the Scorpio SUV allegedly used during the incident as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities said the accused, both residents of Sector 48 in Gurugram, are currently being questioned. Further legal proceedings are underway as police continue to gather evidence and record statements related to the case. The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road rage and aggressive driving behaviour in urban areas, prompting calls for stricter enforcement and greater public awareness regarding road safety and responsible conduct.
