A gruesome discovery shook Nagpur as Dr. Archana Anil Rahule, a 50-year-old physiotherapist and assistant professor at Government Medical College and Hospital, was found murdered in her Ladikar Layout residence on Saturday night.
Police under Hudkeshwar station confirmed the chilling scene, where Dr. Rahule’s body, marked by a severe head injury, was found decomposing, indicating she was killed roughly three days prior.
Living alone while her husband, Dr. Anil Rahule, worked in Raipur and their son pursued medical studies in Pune, Dr. Rahule was discovered by her husband around 9:30 PM. He reported an open door and a foul smell before finding her lifeless on the bed.

Preliminary investigations point to a violent attack, though the motive remains unclear.
Hudkeshwar police have registered a murder case, combing through Dr. Rahule’s phone records and checking for missing items to rule out robbery. “We’re exploring all angles to crack this case swiftly,” an official said. The brutal killing has stunned the city’s medical fraternity and residents, raising urgent questions about safety as authorities race to uncover the truth behind this tragedy.
