A 45-year-old man, Satpal, was allegedly beaten to death in Katkwara village, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, during a violent clash stemming from a financial dispute.

The altercation involved two groups led by Harishankar, Satpal, Surajpal, and Nanhelal, whose long-standing monetary disagreements escalated into a deadly confrontation. Armed with sticks, Surajpal, Nanhelal, and their associates reportedly attacked the opposing group, leaving Satpal fatally injured and nine others seriously hurt.

The victims were rushed to a nearby community health center, where Satpal was pronounced dead. The other injured individuals are receiving medical treatment. Police have deployed additional forces to the village to maintain order and prevent further violence. A manhunt is underway for the accused, who are currently absconding.

Authorities have urged residents to remain calm, while Satpal’s family claims the attack was premeditated, raising concerns about underlying tensions in the community.
