A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed in an incident in north London, an area known for its large Jewish population, police and community security sources have confirmed.The attack took place in Golders Green, a neighbourhood in north-west London with a significant Jewish community presence, where emergency services responded after reports of a man carrying a knife and targeting passers-by. Two individuals were injured in the incident and received medical treatment following the attack.
According to initial reports, the suspect was seen attempting to stab members of the public before being restrained by members of Shomrim, a Jewish volunteer neighbourhood watch group. Police officers later arrived at the scene and detained the man after deploying a Taser.
Community emergency responders, including Jewish volunteer ambulance services, provided immediate assistance to the injured victims before transferring them for further medical care. Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the condition of the victims, though they were reported to have sustained stab wounds.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack, while counter-terrorism officers are also reportedly involved in assessing the circumstances due to the nature and location of the incident. The incident comes amid heightened concerns in parts of north London following a series of recent security-related incidents in areas with Jewish populations. Police presence has been increased in the region as investigations continue into whether the attack was targeted or random in nature.
