In a powerful show of solidarity, hundreds of Congress members from Jharkhand, led by state president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, embarked on a journey to Bihar on Tuesday morning to participate in the Rahul Gandhi-led 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'. The yatra, a 16-day campaign launched by the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, aims to spotlight what the Congress party describes as widespread "vote chori" in Bihar’s electoral process.
The Jharkhand contingent, comprising around 500 party workers from various districts, will join the yatra in Nawada, a Bihar district bordering Jharkhand. "We are proud to stand with Rahul Gandhi, who is fearlessly raising his voice for the people of Bihar and their democratic rights," Kamlesh declared before departing Ranchi. The yatra, which began in Sasaram on Sunday, seeks to mobilize public support and demand electoral transparency.
Among the prominent figures joining the yatra are Jharkhand state ministers Dipika Pandey Singh and Irfan Ansari, alongside Congress legislature party leader Pradeep Yadav. Satish Paul Munjini, state Congress media chairperson, emphasized the scale of participation, noting, "This is a united front from Jharkhand to amplify the call for justice in Bihar’s elections."

The 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' is part of a broader Congress campaign to challenge alleged electoral malpractices and ensure fair voting processes. As the yatra progresses through Bihar, it aims to galvanize voters and draw national attention to the issue, with Jharkhand’s Congress members reinforcing the movement’s momentum.
