An FIR has been registered against Shashank Singh, his father Shailesh Singh and their driver following allegations of assault, abuse and intimidation made by a cook employed at the family's residence in Bhopal. According to police, the case has been registered at Ratibad Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is underway. The FIR is based on the complaint filed by Vipendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Rewa district.

According to the complaint, Tomar joined work as a cook at the family's bungalow in the Neelbad area on June 25 after allegedly being promised a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 along with food and accommodation. He stated that he accepted the job based on these assurances and began residing at the premises while carrying out his duties. The allegations outlined in the FIR are currently being investigated by the police.

Tomar alleged that after a few days he was informed there were shortcomings in his work and claimed his mobile phone was taken away. In his complaint, he stated that on June 28, after preparing breakfast, he asked for his phone to be returned but was refused. He further alleged that he then went to his room, where Shailesh Singh, Shashank Singh and their driver entered, verbally abused him and physically assaulted him before forcing him to leave the house.

The complainant also alleged that Rs 1,000 was transferred from his mobile phone and claimed he was told the amount was being deducted towards food and accommodation expenses. Following the incident, Tomar approached Ratibad Police Station along with his relatives and lodged a formal complaint seeking legal action against those named in the FIR. Police have registered the case under Sections 296(B), 115(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Shashank Singh currently represents Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League, while his father, Shailesh Singh, is a retired Special Director General of Police in Madhya Pradesh. Police officials have confirmed that an investigation has begun and that statements from all parties concerned will be recorded as part of the inquiry. Authorities have not announced any arrests in connection with the case.

Police said the allegations remain under investigation and that the FIR reflects the complainant's version of events. According to reports, efforts were made to obtain a response from Shailesh Singh, but no statement had been received at the time of publication. Investigators are expected to examine the evidence, record witness statements and determine the next course of action based on the findings of the investigation.
