A 5-year-old girl was brutally murdered on Monday in the Palla police station area of Faridabad, Haryana, shocking the local community. The victim, a nursery student, lived with her family, originally from Jharkhand, in a rented house. The accused, identified as Pintu (36), is a resident of Bihar and also lived in the same house on rent.
According to the girl’s mother, the child was last sent downstairs around 4:30 pm to inform her younger brother to get ready for tuition. When she failed to return after a prolonged period, the family began searching nearby and informed the police about her disappearance. CCTV footage from a nearby medical store later revealed the girl walking hand-in-hand with Pintu.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Palla police station deployed a Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) team along with personnel from nearby stations at Central, Khedi, and Sarai to locate the missing child. Family members joined the search, which continued for over nine hours. Around 9 pm, Pintu was apprehended in the Harkesh Nagar area.
