Dubai became the epicenter of a groundbreaking global initiative with the launch of the ‘I Am Peacekeeper’ movement, spearheaded by Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director and CEO of Wockhardt Foundation. Unveiled at a high-profile event attended by international leaders, including Nobel laureates Mohan Munasinghe and Ouided Bouchamaoui, the movement seeks to promote dialogue and understanding to achieve global harmony in the face of escalating geopolitical conflicts, such as those in Gaza and the Gulf region.

Dr. Khorakiwala emphasized that inner peace, driven by seven core human values—justice, humility, peace, love, and others—forms the foundation for societal and global harmony. “Through inner peace, world peace is possible,” he stated, outlining the movement’s ambition to become a mass-grassroots effort uniting individuals and institutions worldwide. The initiative launched with 12 programs focused on compassion, equity, and unity, including engaging two million online advocates and expanding a network of 72 peace country directors, set to grow to 210 by year-end.

Nobel laureate Munasinghe praised the UAE as a global model for peace, citing Dubai’s diverse and inclusive environment as an ideal launchpad. The movement has already garnered nearly two million online supporters, establishing itself as a powerful platform for peace advocacy and social change. Organizers highlighted its goal to create the world’s largest collective of peace advocates, driven by grassroots momentum.

A key highlight was the announcement of the ‘Billionaires for Peace Conclave,’ scheduled for February 2026, which will bring together 7–10 Nobel Peace laureates and 70–110 billionaires to amplify the message of peace globally. “When thought leaders speak, their message resonates worldwide,” Khorakiwala told PTI, underscoring the conclave’s potential impact.

Building on Wockhardt Foundation’s prior efforts, including digital campaigns on conflict resolution and partnerships with humanitarian groups for crisis relief, the ‘I Am Peacekeeper’ movement positions itself as a transformative force. By fostering human values and collective action, it aims to shift global perspectives and pave the way for a more peaceful world, with Dubai leading the charge.
