A 14-year-old boy was brutally sexually assaulted and stabbed 24 times to death by a gang of 13, including several minors, in a revenge attack for allegedly informing a rival gang, Delhi Police reported on July 25, 2025. The victim’s body, found naked with a scarf around its neck in the Munak Canal on July 1, bore 24 stab wounds and signs of blunt force trauma to the private parts, confirming aggravated penetrative sexual assault under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
The main accused, Krishna alias Bhola (19), orchestrated the murder, believing the boy informed the Badhwar brothers—Monu and Sonu, jailed under MCOCA for illegal liquor trade and robberies—leading to Krishna’s assault in 2024. On the night of June 29-30, Krishna and his associates, armed with knives, abducted the victim near Veer Chowk Bazar, beat him, and took him to a spot near the Munak Canal. There, he was stripped, sexually assaulted, and stabbed repeatedly before his body was dumped.
Delhi Police arrested 10 suspects, including Krishna, with three—Monu and two minors—nabbed on July 18 at a Kanwar camp in Meerut, where officers posed as Kanwariyas to avoid unrest. The suspects were traced via social media activity after fleeing to Haridwar. Interrogation revealed three more accused—Deepak, Chandan, and Sachin—who remain at large. The group confessed to taking turns stabbing the victim.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami said a case was registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 103(1) (murder) and 238(b) (causing disappearance of evidence), with POCSO charges added post-autopsy. Given the crime’s brutality, police aim to try minors above 16 as adults. This case follows a pattern of violent crimes in the region, including a 2023 Delhi incident where a 16-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times, highlighting public apathy and rising gang-related violence.
