A violent road rage incident in Bihar’s Siwan district has left a man dead after a shooting involving the nephew of a local BJP leader, in an episode that has triggered fresh concerns over law and order in the state. According to police and media reports, the deceased has been identified as the nephew of a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, who was travelling in a vehicle when a minor road dispute escalated into a deadly confrontation. The altercation reportedly began after a minor collision or argument between two vehicles, which quickly spiralled out of control.
Witness accounts suggest that tempers flared following the dispute, leading to the accused allegedly opening fire during the confrontation. The victim sustained multiple gunshot injuries and died on the spot, while another person is reported to have been injured in the incident.
