A 9-year-old girl, identified as Amaira, died tragically on Saturday afternoon after falling from the fourth floor of the prestigious Neerja Modi School in Jaipur’s Mansarovar area. CCTV footage obtained by police shows the Class 4 student deliberately climbing over a railing and jumping from a height of approximately 47 feet, an act that proved instantly fatal. Despite the visual evidence pointing toward suicide, critical discrepancies at the scene have fueled allegations of foul play and a possible cover-up by school authorities.
When Mansarovar police arrived shortly after the incident, they discovered the impact site had already been meticulously cleaned—no bloodstains, no debris, and no signs of the violent fall remained. This swift sanitization has raised serious red flags. Station House Officer Lakhan Khatana confirmed that while preliminary findings lean toward suicide, the absence of physical evidence and the school’s evasive behavior demand deeper scrutiny. Amaira was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The victim’s devastated parents, residents of the SFS colony, filed an FIR nearly six hours later—after the postmortem—accusing the school administration of negligence and suspicious conduct. They questioned how a child could access an unsecured fourth-floor railing during school hours and demanded accountability from teachers and staff. Amaira, their only child, had a mother employed at a bank and a father in the private sector. The family alleges the school failed to ensure student safety and may have tampered with the scene to conceal lapses.

Neerja Modi School has maintained a stony silence, refusing to issue a statement or cooperate fully with authorities. District Education Officer Ram Niwas Sharma lambasted the administration for stonewalling, revealing that principal Indu Dave’s representative ignored official calls and withheld critical information. The education department has been completely sidelined. As investigations intensify—combining forensic analysis, CCTV review, and witness statements—the case has ignited public fury over elite institutions prioritizing reputation over transparency and child safety.
With the school under fire and a grieving family demanding justice, Jaipur police have vowed a thorough probe. Until the full truth emerges, Amaira’s death remains a haunting enigma—trapped between a child’s final act and the shadows of institutional silence.
