Bhojpuri Cinema Icon and powerhouse performer Pawan Singh has formally approached Mumbai Police with two separate complaints after receiving a barrage of extortion demands and explicit death threats issued in the name of the incarcerated Lawrence Bishnoi gang, marking a disturbing escalation in the syndicate’s intimidation tactics against public figures.
The alarming threats emerged within hours of Singh uploading an official Instagram post announcing his high-profile appearance alongside Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan during the Grand Finale of Bigg Boss Season 19, where the two were scheduled to share the stage for a much-anticipated performance, instantly triggering the gang’s wrath.
Multiple unidentified callers, operating through phone numbers registered in Bihar and Maharashtra, relentlessly contacted Singh and members of his management team, issuing direct monetary demands accompanied by chilling text messages and voice notes that openly invoked the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s name and warned of fatal consequences for non-compliance.

Mumbai Police have transferred both complaints to the specialised Anti-Extortion Cell of the Crime Branch, which has already initiated a detailed technical probe involving call-detail records, IP tracking, and surveillance of financial trails to unmask the perpetrators and determine whether the threats originated directly from the Bishnoi network or from opportunistic criminals exploiting its feared reputation.
This latest episode reinforces the persistent shadow cast by the Bishnoi syndicate over anyone perceived to be associated with Salman Khan, echoing earlier public warnings issued to comedian Kapil Sharma against featuring the actor on his show and serving as a grim reminder of the gang’s long-standing vendetta that continues to endanger celebrities across the entertainment industry.
